A bit about us:
Are you an experienced accountant with a passion for making a difference? Join our client in their mission to protect and restore the world's oceans while helping them thrive! This is your chance to be part of a dedicated team working to safeguard marine wildlife and enhance the oceans' capacity to feed a growing global population. Ocean conservation is crucial not only for mitigating climate change but also for preserving the livelihoods of fishers and their communities.
Founded in the early 2000s, our client is the world's largest ocean advocacy organization dedicated to restoring the resilience, diversity, and abundance of marine ecosystems. Their goal is to ensure that our oceans remain a significant source of wild-caught fish to help feed the world.
Our client drives measurable change through specific, science-based campaigns with clear deadlines and goals. These campaigns span countries that collectively govern nearly one-third of the world’s wild-caught fish, including Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, the United States, the UK, and the European Union.
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our client's Finance and Accounting Department. In this role, you will oversee the entire accounts payable cycle and perform treasury functions. You'll manage a diverse and high-volume workload, collaborating with interdepartmental staff to ensure accurate and timely payments. Additionally, you'll assist with maintaining the general ledger, audit and tax preparation, and other relevant tasks.
If you are ready to make an impact and be part of a global effort to protect our oceans, we want to hear from you!
