About the Job
Vaco Boston has partnered with a large publicly held retailer that is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join their team.
Key responsibilities:
· Assist in the preparation of financial statements
· Perform daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, and account reconciliations.
· Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
· Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
· Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial discrepancies.
· Collaborate with the finance team to streamline and improve accounting processes.
· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field.
· Up to 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
