Job Description:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, assisting with monthly close procedures, preparing reports, and supporting senior accounting staff. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger entries.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and regulations.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and filings.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit financial reports as required by management.
- Assist with audits and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and files.
- Provide support for ad-hoc accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience (entry-level candidates with relevant internships will be considered).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
