is assisting our client in their search for a
Staff Accountant
to join their accounting team and contribute to their mission of advancing clean technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payable activities, ensuring accurate invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
• Complete bank reconciliations and manage company credit card accounts, monitoring usage and reconciling expenditures.
• Support inventory management processes, including annual physical counts.
• Assist with multi-state sales tax filings and payroll filings across the USA and Canada.
• Contribute to consolidated financial forecasting, projections, and strategic planning.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support project and cost accounting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations at local, state, and federal levels, adapting company policies as needed.
• Maintain adherence to US GAAP, Canadian GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards and internal control procedures.
• Administer accounting for government awards, funding, and grants, ensuring compliance with budget and program requirements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, manufacturing, or within a public company.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles; knowledge of cross-border accounting, currency conversion, and intercompany transactions is a plus.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a high-energy, fast-paced organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in cost accounting, project accounting, and capital expenditure analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
