Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) is proud to partner with an established investment firm to find their next Financial Accountant. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, focusing on key accounting and financial responsibilities.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the firm's financial operations. This includes managing accounts payable, maintaining financial systems, and assisting with client billing and treasury functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, maintain accurate files, and resolve payment issues.
• Financial Operations: Prepare journal entries, maintain amortization schedules, and support month-end close activities.
• Client Billing & Revenue: Reconcile revenues, prepare journal entries, and manage cash receipt tracking.
• Treasury Functions: Support cash flow forecasting, check production, and financial file maintenance.
• Administrative Support: Contribute to accounting system improvements, inventory tracking, and other projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience in a financial department, preferably with a small to mid-sized company.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger processes, and month-end closing. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
• Personal Attributes: Strong organizational and communication skills, high integrity, team-oriented, and capable of managing confidential information.
