Job Details
Job Responsibilities
Maintain organization and accuracy of all accounting records and files.
Conduct Accounts Payable transactions with an emphasis on 3-way match understanding.
Run weekly A/P checks to ensure timely payments.
Process customer payments and receipts.
Handle and apply customer credit card payments as received.
Manage and file Sales & Use tax in approximately 20 U.S. states and Canada.
Track and calculate sales commissions for sales representatives.
Review and process employee expense reports.
Post Accounts Receivable and follow up on outstanding collections.
Reconcile credit card statements.
Reconcile bank statements and petty cash accounts.
Support month-end close by preparing journal entries.
Assist in compiling month-end reports.
Contribute to the preparation for annual audits.
Perform additional tasks as directed by the Controller.
Essential Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in either the manufacturing or construction sector.
Basic understanding of cost accounting and inventory management, particularly related to the Cost of Goods.
Preferred Experience
Experience with QuickBooks (desktop version preferred; online version acceptable).
Associate degree in accounting or equivalent practical experience.
Background in a smaller business environment with approximately $25 million in annual revenue or less.
Preferred Skills
Strong grasp of GAAP and its practical applications.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Exceptional organizational abilities.
Proficiency in following both written and verbal directions.
Intermediate skills in Excel.
Work Schedule
Standard hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break.
