Staff Accountant - Preferred Risk Insurance

We are have an immediate opportunity for a Staff Accountant for our fast paced, deadline-driven Accounting Department!

The role will assist in the day-to-day accounting, monthly reconciliations, as well as other general accounting related activities

• Process A/R which includes preparing deposits and entering receipts
• Commission processing and support
• Cash management duties which includes sweeps, agent cash outs, and reconciliations
• Client billing
• Provide general accounting support which may include some general admin support
• Financial statement preparation
• Preparing journal entries, including fixed asset and accrual entries
• Assist with various ad hoc reporting
• Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis
• Additional duties may be assigned based on capacity

Requirements:

• Seeking 1-5 years of experience
• Strong attention to detail is a must!**
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft applications, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to consistently produce accurate work and meet deadlines
• Prior Accounting experience
• Great organizational skills
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities
• Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently

**This is an on-site position reporting to our corporate headquarters located about one mile south of Chicago Midway Airport.
