We are seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant who is eager to learn and grow within the public accounting field. This role involves providing essential support across various accounting and tax services, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and tax return assistance. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.

OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Perform bookkeeping and general accounting tasks for clients, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly close processes.
• Support in preparing financial statements in compliance with GAAP and firm standards.
• Assist with client consultations to understand their needs and provide accounting and tax guidance.
• Collaborate with senior associates and partners on various client engagements and special projects.
• Stay up-to-date on accounting and tax regulations to ensure compliance.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance accounting and technical skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA eligibility a plus).
• 0-2 years of experience in accounting (internship or public accounting experience preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
