STAFF ACCOUNTANT

About the Company and the Staff Accountant Position:

Join this local, growing organization! Our client is in the food service industry and is looking for a great accountant. This role is perfect for someone looking to continue to develop their skillset, learn P&L analysis, and grow their technical accounting background. You will report directly to the Controller and work on a collaborative team.


Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare and post journal entries, both standard and non-standard
• Performs other general ledger reconciliations as needed in support of monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Analyze financial statements including the P&L and prepare accruals
• Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 1 to 3 years accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Proficient in relevant software such as Excel

Salary and Benefits:

• Hybrid role in Akron, Ohio
• Pay range is $58,000 to $70,000
