Sr. Secretary- 30 Community Way East Greenbush- PT Days
Position Summary:
Provides administrative support to director and management including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendar, typing of correspondence, preparing presentations, frequent contact and interaction with internal and external personnel including leadership, vendors, other healthcare facility personnel and offices, etc. Provides secretarial and reception duties for department, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting visitors.
Assists in expediting report processing as directed. Maintains departmental supplies and contributes to the development and monitoring of the department budget. Performs duties to support the record completion process including facilitation of expediting records needing to be completed. Facilitates the timely submission of data/info for required budget reporting.
Part-Tine 12 hours weekly

Educaton Requirements:
+ High School Diploma, associate degree preferred.
Experience Requirements:
+ Minimum of 1-3 years' experience performing secretarial and/or clerical duties in a medical office or hospital.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Demonstrated organizational skills.
+ Word processing, data base and spreadsheet skills.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
+ Maintains calendars of director and managers accurately.
+ Schedules meetings for internal and external hospital sources.
+ Prepares correspondance, presentations and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Acts as a liaison for the administration and department with internal and external individuals, vendors, other health care organizations and businesses.
2. CLERICAL/RECEPTION
+ Answers phone lines promptly, politely. Identifies self and department.
+ Schedules appointments accurately.
+ Delivers messages accurately and promptly.
+ Greets patients, physician, visitors, employees. Assists them in meeting needs as necessary.
+ Maintains positive working relations with interdepartmental staff.
3. RECORD REPORTING:
+ Accountable for assisting with budget planning and monitoring for discrepancies.
+ Obtains and accurately records data as part of our quality and cost savings indicatives.
+ Maintains and orders non-technical supplies.
+ Ensures that all reports and files are maintained in organized database system.
+ Ensures that requests for information are handled promptly.
+ Performs other duties as required.

Pay Range: $18.50- $24.66
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
