Job Summary:
My established and growing commercial real estate client is seeking a skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing the day-to-day accounting functions for various real estate properties, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage the monthly and yearly close processes, including preparing property operating statements and accrual journal entries.
* Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements.
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting schedules.
* Maintain and oversee monthly fixed asset and straight-line rent schedules.
* Collaborate with property management to review monthly variance reports.
* Prepare annual operating expense (OE) estimates and reconciliations.
* Assist in annual audits and preparation of annual tax reports.
* Contribute to special projects as assigned.
Secondary/Supporting Responsibilities:
* Act as a backup to the Controller for various responsibilities, including:
* Completing annual entity/asset budgets in Yardi.
