Sr. Mechanical Engineer (gearing/motors/commissioning) - 1st St. NW Technical Staffing

Established engineering firm has an opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This position will allow you to work on world renowned projects in the sports, entertainment, aerospace and amusement industries. Direct hire position with very competitive benefits!

Duties:
* Lead testing and commissioning of complex mechanical systems
* Provide field support, construction supervision, and troubleshooting
* Support mechanical design team as needed
* Resolve design and construction conflicts in real time
* Conduct inspections and tests of components at manufacturing facilities

Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering
* 5+ years of experience (3+ years of experience with M.S. degree) in engineering
* Experience with design, analysis, building and commissioning of a project required
* EIT certification with plans to pursue the P.E. exam
* U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status (current Green Card holder)
* Proficiency with Solidworks and Ansys
* Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
