Arthrex Inc. is hiring a Sr. Manager – Technical Operations to work at our Logistics Center in Fort Myers, FL. The Sr. Technical Manager works directly with operations throughout Arthrex. This position is the liaison between Operations, IT, and vendors, working to ensure the success and timeliness of projects. A successful candidate must have experience defining and operating business processes in one of the following areas: Logistics, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Finance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for implementation of future innovative solutions that will support Arthrex as a world class medical device manufacturer.
- Collaborate to translate business goals and objectives into strategic business capabilities.
- Benchmark current and future processes against best industry practices.
- Analyze current operational capabilities and research future solutions.
- Accountable for buy-in and adoption of solutions by respective business departments.
- Serve as the liaison between IT and the various departments within Operations at Arthrex.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.
- Engage IT on any critical open operational issues.
- Formalize relationships between business processes and goals into strategic business capabilities.
- Promote best practices for current and future processes against best industry practices.
- Is the focal point of all IT activities for Logistics.
- Work with Logistics Center leaders to develop financial and technical justifications for all newly proposed solutions.
- Project manage and lead cross functional teams in implementing new processes and systems.
- Mentor direct reports with attention to individual professional and leadership competencies to help them achieve short-and long-term career development goals.
- Ensure compliance within functional area and support the compliance objectives of the organization.
- Up to 15% travel required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree in business or engineering preferred.
- 10 years’ experience within a business function (logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, or engineering) with business analysis or business process improvement activity required.
- Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of software solutions.
- Previous position in pharma or medical device industry a plus.
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- In-depth knowledge of business functions and related software applications; SAP preferred.
- Experience with process improvement techniques and tools; Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
- Understanding of the major functions in a global organization.
- Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
- Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC servers, workstations, and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones, and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. MS Office, SQL server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ERP, and partner software applications.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
