Rate: up to $75/hr.
Note: This is a primarily remote position, but the candidate must live within 120 miles of the San Antonio area and be willing to come onsite potentially once a month for in-person meetings as needed.
Job Description
Overview: Our client is seeking a Senior IT Program Manager to join their team. This role will focus on managing multi-year programs within the Digital Experience and Digital Communications space, including building an ADA Program from scratch and overseeing the Client’s website redesign. The successful candidate will work on programs and projects that are mid-roadmap, involving 7 projects with dedicated PMs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex, multi-year programs within the Digital User Experience and Digital Communications domains.
- Build and implement an ADA Program from the ground up.
- Oversee and coordinate 7 projects, ensuring alignment with the overall roadmap.
- Conduct backlog refinement based on squad work and ensure effective communication of monthly and quarterly outcomes.
- Motivate and organize a primarily remote team, ensuring high performance and outcome focus.
- Communicate effectively at all organizational levels, making outcomes transparent.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility and ADA standards.
- Foster continuous improvement without compromising quality.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5-8 years of Project/Program Management experience, with a strong background in Digital User Experience or ADA compliance preferred. Candidates with strong Project Management experience and limited Program Management experience will also be considered.
- Methodology: Proficient in Agile/hybrid methodologies, with the ability to navigate a primarily waterfall environment.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to motivate and manage a remote team. Familiarity with launching digital and mobile experiences.
- Tools: Experience with MS Project, PowerPoint, and Clarity PPM. (Training on MS Project can be provided if needed.)
- Certifications: PMP certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Digital Customer Experience and Digital Communications.
- Familiarity with accessibility and ADA compliance.
- Comfortable working in an organization undergoing cultural changes.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and quality assurance.
