Responsibilities:The IT Operations Center Analyst will be responsible for monitoring enterprise networks, infrastructure, and business applications for problems and proactive maintenance. They analyze problems, perform troubleshooting and incident response on the systems, communicate with other teams and track problems through to resolution. The IT Ops Center Analyst will lead the effort for notifications, cross functional team triage sessions, status to Senior Leadership teams and communications to internal/external stakeholders during production incidents. Responsible for 24x7 monitoring of systems performance and communicates any problems to team and management.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors overall network, system, server, and application performance. Records anomalies, responds to alerts and issues and recommends enhancement to improve performance.
- Identify any trending in current monitoring system and recommend changes or improvements.
- Owns efforts for incident notifications, gathering internal participants for triage sessions and communications via notifications to all internal and external stakeholders
- Timely and accurately create and update Incident Tickets using ticketing system, documenting steps taken during the Incident to resolve the issue and communicates them to stakeholders.
- Coordinates with the IT Support Center any necessary problem escalation and makes sure operations staff and management are informed of any major errors.
- Ensures all work is done completely and correctly, including all logs and preventative maintenance.
- Assist with maintaining ITOC operational, escalation, and notification documentation.
- Recommends changes and enhancements that improve efficiency of operation.
- Thoroughly communicates shift review to oncoming shift.
- Maintains all logs, records, and reports relative to shift operations.
- Perform scheduled maintenance activities.
- Notify practices and third-party service providers of issues, outages, and remediation status.
- Work with internal and external technical and service teams to restore service.
- Respond diligently to on and off-duty alerts as your work will be critical to our day-to-day operations.
- Participates in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation.
- Works under limited supervision and problems are moderately complex.
- Responsible for providing coaching, guidance, and training to others in the job area.
- Makes improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the department.
- Works on problems typically involving consideration of multiple issues, job areas or specialties.
- May manage projects, requiring responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others’ work product.
- 5+ years prior experience in system administrationPassion, technical knowledge, and experience working in a 7x24 high-reliability operation
- High understanding of network layers 2-7, including TCP/IP, TLS, and HTTP.
- Understanding of web content including HTML, XML, CSS, CSP, and JavaScript
- Past experience with network and application monitoring tools (ie. Splunk, SolarWinds etc.)
- Demonstrable ability to investigate and quantify reported service interruptions
- Able to clearly communicate complex technical issues to others with varying levels of technical expertise
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
- Analytical problem solver with proven attention to detail
