About the Job
GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking a Sr.Hydrogeologist as a Project Manager with at least 10 years of experience designing and managing groundwater supply studies, environmental site investigation programs, and soil and groundwater remedial projects to support our hydrogeological investigation team within our Glastonbury, Connecticut office. The ideal candidate for this position must have a strong academic base and technical experience to provide independent geologic and hydrogeologic evaluations working with senior and junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will execute challenging projects under the guidance of a company Principal, while advancing professionally. You will also represent GZA with the client throughout proposal, contract, and day to day technical and financial project execution. As a Project Manager you will be involved with marketing / networking events, and the development and mentoring of staff. Our Project Managers have ownership opportunities, participate in profit sharing, and the potential for advancement to principal levels.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology and/or Hydrogeology, Master's degree is preferred
- LEP license required and PG license preferred with a focus on hydrogeology (groundwater modeling experience a plus)
- Experience with data analyses and the ability to evaluate compliance with CTDEEP Remediation Standard Regulations (experience in adjacent states is a plus)
- Experience working with water suppliers and developing new water sources
- Effective communication, organizational skills and problem solving
- Experience in developing high-quality written work products
- Experience with design and management of environmental remediation systems including pump & treat, in-situ injections, engineering controls
- Initiative-taker, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
- Demonstrate professional judgment, consistency, strong attention to detail, and background
- Emphasis on health and safety
- Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 8-hour supervisory training
- Managing project team(s), delegating to office and field staff, and executing day to day activities of projects
- Conducting internal and client communications
- Monitoring team performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets
- Providing business development support and bringing in new clients
- Preparing proposals and reviewing/drafting environmental reports with Principal guidance and review
- Managing project contractual and financial issues (including contract terms, changes in scope, billing process)
- Managing and mentoring existing GZA staff of project-level scientists and engineers
- Conducting/reviewing technical analyses/calculations
- Ability to implement complex site characterization programs and develop remedial solutions
- Participating in meetings and agency consultation
