Overview:
We are currently hiring for an experienced Graphic Designer who specializes in conceptualizing and executing consumer packaging with attractive, functional, and on-brand requirements in the CPG industry on a world-class level. This role will be responsible for creating visually stunning and consumer-focused packaging designs and merchandising and signage creative, that elevates our brand presence and drive product success across major retail outlets. The Conceptual Packaging Designer will apply advanced level art, innovative ideas in structure and design, typography and layout skills to create visually engaging packaging and across a variety of mediums including logos, product applications, displays, and other print and digital materials.

Responsibilities:
- Leads, inspires and current with consumer and market trends for packaging design, materials and functionality,
- Delivers competitive research and participates in reviews -- is consumer-oriented for solutions that align with marketing aesthetics and messaging and able to justify their designs with relevant consumer preferences
- Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way, ensuring that layout and design are aligned with brand and production standards and follow best practices.
- Chooses graphics and images as appropriate, selects fonts for written copy and suggests content ideas with product market managers; prepares drafts of design work, physical mockups if necessary, and presents designs to management for approval.
- Collaborates with stakeholders, management, and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message.
- Manages assigned workload of design projects, accurately interprets detailed creative briefs and research findings, ensuring they are delivered on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Participates in collaborative revision and approval process until final design is approved.
- Consults with creative manager, director, and/or other team members as needed on complex or specialized projects.
- Reviews the work of junior designers to give guidance and feedback when requested and shares and communicates inspirationally.
- Reports to management about the status of current projects; and communicates any possible issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Extensive knowledge of package design and brand development in CPG industry
- Superior artistic, design and consumer-focused content skills.
- Extremely proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.
- At least five years of related package design in CPG industry is preferred.
