Sr. Director Corporate Marketing
Description:
The Senior Director Corporate Marketing is responsible for driving market analysis for ASM business segments in the semiconductor equipment industry and executing marketing communication programs and messaging for ASM products, technologies and in support of investor relations. With significant hands-on effort, lead a small team to deliver on the following,
- Develop marketing communications for ASM executive team in support of quarterly earnings, annual investor meetings and investor reporting.
- Support ASM product lines and corporate communications group with technical marketing communication content and messages for trade shows, press releases, website, product launches etc.
- Lead ASM strategy and execution for participation at industry trade shows and technical conferences.
- Understand and communicate semiconductor industry technology trends, new application inflections, alternatives and their adoption expectation.
- Support corporate level competitive analysis by monitoring and reporting on market, customer, competitor and industry news and developments.
- Market analysis – contribute to the development of semiconductor and wafer fab equipment market sizing forecasts and segmentations, using internal and external data sources. Primary interface for ASM engagement with 3rd party market research companies such as TechInsights, Gartner, SEMI. Add analysis and positioning
- Focal point for competitive market share analysis using internal and external data.
- Product Marketing center of excellence – Contribute to best practices development and propagation through the organization for product development and marketing.
Education:
Minimum of technical undergraduate degree - Masters or PhD preferred (Physics, Materials Science, EE, ChE)
MBA additional preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 10-15 years in the Semiconductor Industry (either Semiconductor Capital Equipment or Wafer Processing) in process engineering and technical product marketing positions.
- Demonstrated leadership and expertise in market analysis, product development, product marketing, business development and sales best practices.
- Experience with global customer activities, particularly in Asia.
- Knowledge of advanced transistor, capacitor and interconnect technologies, including equipment and deposition technologies.
- Communications for investor relations
Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of the semiconductor industry
- Knowledge of semiconductor process technologies, device technologies, and integration aspects
- Broad knowledge of product and process engineering of capital equipment for the semiconductor industry
- Communications for clear and concise reporting and presentations in English at executive level for both internal and external use
- Able to understand and concisely communicate new technology trends and competitor developments for semiconductor device manufacturing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – in various forums including annual report preparation, product market messaging, press releases, web content
- Technical marketing skills enabling development of product messages that effectively communicate product advantages and differentiation
- Analytical skills necessary for developing complex models
- Able to provide content, expertise and source material to support marketing communications for collateral development, web site content, product launches, corporate presentations, to effectively communicate our brand, technology and product value propositions to prospects, customers, analysts and press
- Ability to think strategically for purposes of recommending positions and point of view for executive management
- Understand financial reporting
- Organizational and personnel management and leadership skills, and ability to drive cross-functional activities
- Self-starter and self-directed hard worker with the ability to define, execute and complete tasks in a fast-paced, innovative environment with challenging project deadlines
Expected Travel Amount:
Ability and willingness to travel both domestic and international low frequency generally expected but potentially up to 20-30%
