Sr. Cloud Engineer - Piper Companies

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer that will leverage cutting-edge cloud and data technologies to streamline services for our clients. Join our team of Cloud professionals and achieve what others only dream of.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform the Enclave Administrator (EA) role, including deployment and maintenance of Mission Enclave infrastructure and application-related responsibilities.
• Monitor system health, including Azure Solution System Health, Program Application availability, and Capacity Management.
• Manage operational systems, including trouble tickets—input, re-route, field, and escalate as needed.
• Conduct troubleshooting and remediation activities, coordinating with System Owners, Product Team, and Migration Team.
• Participate in planning sessions and technical presentations with customer project leads and staff.
• Analyze technical requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Perform regular maintenance on all systems/applications, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and end-of-life replacements.
• Complete approved configuration updates/changes and escalate high-level architectural updates as required.
• Delegate application-related responsibilities to the Customer Mission Applications Administrator (MAA) role.
• Work closely with the Customer as a shared technical lead to ensure development, analysis, and deployment are delivered on schedule and meet Customer requirements.

Location and Travel Details:

• This opportunity is client-facing in the Lorton, VA area and requires full onsite presence.

Security Clearance:

• Must have and maintain an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Required for This Opportunity:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent industry work experience).
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• CompTIA Security+ (or higher level security certification)
• Experience with Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps (Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, CLI).
• Preferred experience within C4 networks/operating environments and SAP networks/operating environments.
• Experience in one or more of the following: Cloud technologies, data and AI, security, business application design and implementation.
• Ability to self-manage maintenance of workloads and ensure appropriate support of all systems/applications/workloads within the enclave.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary: $160,000 - $180,000
• Full benefits package included
