Synigent Technologies is searching for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst for one of our clients in the Richmond, VA area. This is a remote position but must be local to the region to attend periodic onsite meetings.
In this role the candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technological solutions. This work includes analyzing complex business processes, requirements elicitation and documentation, internal review of other BSA documentation, and the creation or review of comprehensive meeting minutes during project related meetings. The BSA will work closely with the project manager(s), developers, quality assurance analysts, and business stakeholders.

Some of the key requirements for the role:
- 8 12 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on IT development projects.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A proven track record of successfully analyzing and documenting complex business processes.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Experience in reverse engineering Legacy COBOL/Visual Basic/MS Access applications to extract business rules and workflows.
- An understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- A proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Experience in creating comprehensive and clear documentation.
- Proficiency in modeling techniques, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements.
- Experience in translating business requirements into detailed system specifications.
- Ability to create process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other relevant documentation.
- Experience in assessing the impact of changes and facilitating change management processes.
- Proficiency in business modeling and analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucid Chart, or similar.
