About the Job
Altus Engineering, partnering with Davis Defense Group (DDG), is looking for a Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to support the US Marine Corps Program Manager Light Tactical Vehicle (PM LTV). This individual will provide professional mechanical, automotive, and systems engineering expertise and services in direct support of PM LTV and associated portfolio of vehicle and trailer systems. Primary areas of technical support services include timely technical planning; leading technical demonstrations and investigations; evaluation; analysis; Engineering Change Proposal development; testing; systems integration; configuration management; data management; and the preparation and generation of reports and technical documents.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- The candidate shall provide engineering analysis to include automotive design, systems integration, vehicle performance predictions
- Coordination of work directives and technical product demonstrations
- Shall provide support in conducting SE Technical Reviews for system-level and subsystem-level designs and Engineering Change Proposals
- Shall provide support in the drafting, revising, and collaboration for development of engineering acquisition documents
- Will support the integration of hardware onto the platforms and the execution of tests; will review test plans and reports and formulate analysis and recommendations related to issues arising during integration and testing of Engineering Change Proposals
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge / background in military systems; ground vehicle experience preferred
- Experience in engineering analysis, Technical Data Package (TDP) review, and test and evaluation
- Ability to work independently and develop/review technical documentation with high quality and technical accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work on dynamic team, and directly support Government Project Leads and Engineers
- Other Desired Skills: systems integration; production quality and manufacturing; human factors engineering; operational safety; and configuration management
Clearance Requirements
Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance. US Citizenship is REQUIRED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
