Sr. Accounting Manager - Sparks Group

Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group in collaboration with its rapidly growing client, an internationally recognized government contracting company is searching for a skilled Accounting Manager, where you'll lead a team responsible for overseeing a complex accounting function. You'll ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while providing strategic insights to drive business decisions. You will have strong experience supporting and collaborating a Board of Directors with high-dollar financial projections, financial performance and large budgets withing a government contracts environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Leadership, managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting team, complex government contracts accounting, accurate Reporting, overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Financial Analysis to include conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Process Improvement, continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to maintain strong relationships and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• System Expertise, to include strong proficiency in Deltek Costpoint

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or MBA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience  
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Strong proficiency in Excel and strong experience within Deltek CostPoint
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
• This position requires U.S. Citizenship

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Salary $120,000.00 to $175,000.00
