Description
Amazon is investing in building a customer centric, world class advertising business. In this role, you will be working on state of the art publisher solutions across Streaming Video, Streaming Audio and Display Advertising. These are nascent, high growth areas, including Amazon's Alexa platform, Amazon Music, and new acquisitions in Podcasting, where scalable, programmatic Ad publisher solutions are critical to business success.
You will be working closely with engineering and science organizations and will own planning and program execution for new products and features to help publishers onboard and forecast their Ad inventory within Amazon Publisher Technology Ad Tech stack. You will work across multiple organizations and develop requirements in the form of high-level epics and roadmaps, as well as detailed user stories for developing different components of the data processing solution.
You will partner with science and engineering leaders to build the long-term and short-term roadmap and ensure timely release of products and solutions. You will work closely with scientists and engineers building new systems and solutions, influencing product features and architectural choices that lead to better experiences for media publishers, advertisers and end consumers.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop strong understanding of Media publisher needs in the area of Live Streaming, Video Streaming, Audio Streaming and Display Advertising, and establish mechanisms to stay abreast of their needs
- Establish a vision for the Forecasting product and drive organizational alignment to that vision
- Build a coherent roadmap delivering on that vision and accounting for risk/learning
- Work with engineering and science teams to plan and execute technical programs, product launches, operational activities, and process improvements
- Foster healthy, active cross-team relationships. Use stakeholder input to identify clear priorities and requirements
- Understand cross-team and cross-project dependencies. Be able to see around corners to address issues early
- Continually raise the bar on deliveries, launches, requirements, operations, process
- Derive learning from projects and feature deliveries. Use this information to inform new features and process for core and shared components
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience with technologies like Hadoop, Rules based systems and Machine learning
- Experience working on forecasting products/systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
