Job Summary
The Portfolio Manager will be integral to the success of our operations across assigned states. This role involves analyzing state trends, ensuring rate adequacy, and monitoring claims trends. The Portfolio Manager will collaborate with various departments, including Claims, Tech, Customer Experience, and Sales, to ensure our products thrive in a competitive landscape.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage product performance across assigned states.
- Identify market needs and ensure products meet expectations.
- Discover new product opportunities and define requirements.
- Oversee multiple projects at various stages of completion.
- Develop product roadmaps and create annual product plans.
- Maintain optimal pricing and competitive market presence.
- Collect and analyze feedback from sales, marketing, and agents.
- Create business cases and ROI analyses for new features.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing on strategy and positioning.
- Work with the tech team to develop product documentation and training.
- Communicate product requirements effectively.
- Provide competitive analysis to support product positioning.
- Lead project teams and ensure collaboration across departments.
- Achieve all business goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
- 3+ years of property and casualty insurance experience.
- 5+ years in business analysis or product management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of achieving ambitious goals.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
Physical Demands
This position involves general office duties, requiring the employee to sit, stand, and walk, with occasional lifting of light objects (less than 25 lbs). Candidates should be able to communicate effectively and handle standard office equipment.
