Job Title: Instrumentation Sr Engineering Technician
This position is for a Mechanical Instrumentation Technician in the Engines and Power Systems Test Engineering group. The primary responsibility for this role is fabrication and installation of various measurement sensors used in testing. These sensors typically include temperature, pressure, vibration, strain, and capacitance. The ideal candidate will have a good mechanical aptitude with 2+ years of practical, hands-on experience with fabrication, machining, and/or welding. A wide variety of creativity and latitude is expected
Key Responsibilities
+ Operate machine equipment such as lathes, milling machines and EDM’s to produce custom hardware.
+ Know and execute correct fabrication processes to produce hardware from blueprints.
+ Fabricate tooling and fixtures of own design to successfully accomplish tasks.
+ Effectively communicate job estimate and status with work group and internal customers.
+ Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ High school degree or its equivalent with 2+ years of experience in a related area.
WE VALUE
+ The ideal candidate will have a good mechanical aptitude with 2+ years of practical, hands-on experience with fabrication, machining, and/or welding.
+ Know and execute correct fabrication processes to produce hardware from blueprints.
+ Welding, Soldering, and Manual Machining a plus.
