Gilbane is seeking a Senior MEP Coordinator to be responsible for originating and leading all MEP processes (mechanical, electrical and plumbing), generally on a single large project. This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc.

Responsibilities:- Originate MEP Scopes of Work and participate in scope review meetings
- Originate MEP installation and commissioning activities within the Project Schedule
- Train others on MEP systems
- Determine the MEP subcontracting strategies for a project
- Develop MEP bid package schedule with input from the design team and owner
- Track progress of the MEP coordination process and ensure the deliverable meets contract requirements
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- BS OR MS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- 10-20 years related field experience
- 5+ years in a supervisory role on a $50 million - $100 million construction project
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to lead in a team environment and manage project subcontractors
- Strong technical expertise and leadership for the installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- Able to lead the commissioning process
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs
- Demonstrate strong risk management skills
- Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
- OSHA 30 hour certified
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Connecticut this ranges from $126,300.00-$154,500.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
