Title: Senior Human Resources Generalist
Location: Southeastern Region
Schedule: Mon-Fri 08:00am - 05:00pm
Description:
The Senior Human Resources Generalist will manage and support various human resources functions, including employee relations, staffing, compliance, training, and HR operations. This role involves providing guidance on HR matters, maintaining personnel records, supporting recruitment, and driving employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources Operations:
Manage moderately complex HR matters, referencing policies and employee handbooks to provide accurate guidance.
Administer HRIS system transactions, including new hires, changes, and terminations.
Evaluate and update workers’ compensation claims, collaborating with HR and compliance teams.
Review ADA accommodation requests and liaise with HR management for approvals.
Maintain personnel files, medical records, I-9s, and recruiting documents in compliance with legal and company standards.
Collaborate with benefits teams to manage leaves of absence and other employee benefit needs.
Employee Relations:
Provide guidance on HR issues, escalating sensitive matters to HR managers as needed.
Support managers in disciplinary actions, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.
Conduct workplace investigations and document findings in collaboration with HR managers.
Facilitate exit surveys and interviews, reporting trends and recommendations to HR leadership.
Staffing and Recruitment:
Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit and onboard qualified candidates.
Assist with creating job descriptions and ensure accurate compensation data based on market analysis.
Conduct interviews as needed and support the hiring process.
Training and Engagement:
Coordinate employee training programs, including scheduling and tracking participation.
Drive employee engagement through recognition programs and events.
Promote a culture of inclusiveness and engagement across the organization.
Projects and Compliance:
Support HR events, benefits open enrollment, and company-wide meetings.
Prepare and analyze HR metrics and statistical data for reporting.
Stay informed of HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
PHR certification preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional presence.
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Desired Skills:

Experience driving process improvements and employee engagement initiatives.
