This is an on-site position providing labor relations and general HR support within our foundry and manufacturing facilities. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Ensure data integrity in all HR systems with accurate and timely entries and information management. + Lead the recruitment process for entry and mid-level open positions in the assigned employee groups. + Administer the employee life cycle tasks including new hire onboarding to exits from the organization. + Manage leave administration specific to FMLA, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability absences. + Partner with the Safety Manager to administer worker’s compensation claims. + Support labor relations activities specific to union contracts. + Conduct investigations and support progressive discipline actions. + Manage day to day employee relations issues. Coach employees and Supervisors on employee relations topics. + Partner with key stakeholders to identify and implement cultural change. + Work with the leadership team to identify hourly staffing needs based on demand. + Create a positive work environment with strong employee relations. + Work across HR roles to be cross trained on a variety of tasks to ensure process continuity as needed. + Ensure confidentiality with human resources records, including employee and organizational data. + Function as the lead on assigned Human Resources related project work. + Identify process improvements and lead change to increase efficiencies. + Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: + Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communication or management. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree. + Minimum 5 years of HR experience required, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. + SHRM-CP preferred. OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS + Strong HR technical skills/knowledge. + Complete discretion, working with highly confidential information and records. + Ability to think critically. + Continuous improvement mindset. + Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and tact. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
