About the Job
The Sr Director of Human Resources Business Partners will lead the HRBP team, the strategic backbone of the People Team to leverage the HR toolkit and provide solutions for business function specific people challenges. This role will play a critical role in shaping and optimizing our HR toolkit and focus on delivering innovative solutions to allow our leaders and the larger organization to succeed. This position will report directly to the SVP of Human Resources and be a critical voice on the HR leadership team.
As a player coach, this position will be responsible for supporting and partnering with our Chief Commercial Officer and a key member of their leadership team. In addition, this role will lead 2 additional HR Business Partners who are assigned to support and partner with the functions of the company.
Responsibilities
Primary:
- Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the Commercial management team
- Develop and execute comprehensive function specific talent strategies built for scale through collaboration with Recruiting and HR Operations stakeholders amongst other cross functional stakeholders.
- Define and actively manage the HR Annual Performance Management Cycle
- Collaborate with partners to assess current processes and identify areas for efficiency, transformation, and automation.
- Lead and mentor a team of 2 professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation to effectively execute and deliver for the business.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance, building it into everything delivered.
- Drive continuous improvement and stay abreast of emerging trends.
- Deliver solutions, enhancements, and best practices to the business, driving accountability of leaders through robust change management and enablement practices.
- Provides subject matter expertise on a broad range of ER issues, including performance management, investigations, high risk disciplinary actions and terminations, re-organizations, complex leaves of absence and disability accommodations issues, and HR policies and practices, among others.
- Advise and lead on business change including acquisitions/people integration, restructurings, and reorganizations.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ year in progressive senior HR leadership positions, demonstrating accountability, impact, growth, and value of operation.
- Prior experience working for Pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, life science and gene or cell therapy preferred.
- Minimum of 1 M&A deal hands on experience
- Strategic mindset with excellent project management with strong delivery & execution focus
- Analytical and problem-solving capability
- The ability to gain trust and influence others / Ability to engage and influence without direct authority.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment that spans different job functions, departments, and geographies.
- Strong MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills, with creative presentation and advanced excel skills.
- Resilience and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities.
- Ability to manage a varied workload to achieve agreed deadlines without compromising quality or standards. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proven track record in creating employee engagement strategies and plans; devising and implementing, effective, result-oriented employee programs, with solid technical knowledge and experience in selecting, writing requirements, and implementing international engagement platforms.
- Relevant experience in international strategic HR employee engagement
- Ability to Travel as required.
