Overview
The Pizza Hut Assistant Manager ensures service standards and brand standards are met at all times during their shift; treats customers and fellow Team Members with a friendly, upbeat and positive attitude; and assists manager with daily operating procedures such as maintaining quality store operations, maximizing financial contribution and supervising Team Member development within the Food Court outlet.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino’s "Winning Attitude" Company-wide culture and demonstrating Thunder Valley Casino’s AAA Four Diamond Service Standards at all times.
- Holding pre shift meeting.
- Station assignments – All positions.
- Break schedules.
- Evaluating and documentation of performance.
- Covering call outs.
- Handling Guest opportunities, Team Member issues.
- Updating the logbook.
- Requisitioning and issuance of product.
- Audit of clock in and sign in record by shift.
- Evaluation of equipment and stock levels, taking appropriate actions to ensure all areas are in working order.
- Communicating with outgoing and incoming Supervisor/Manager.
- Evaluating side-work.
- Supervision of all team members.
- Responsible for supervising the training of new team members.
- Responsible for periodic performance evaluations and progressive discipline.
- Must keep and process proper documentation of attendance, discipline, incidents, and schedules, meeting notes, reports and any other related material in a timely manner using the appropriate forms provided.
- Requires a working knowledge of all equipment, their maintenance and operation including Infogenesis POS system and soda dispensing equipment.
- Requires a comprehensive knowledge of products offered recipes, prices, internal control procedures and all company as well as department policies.
- Related tasks include but not limited to scheduling, Over & Shorts, Comment Cards, P&L Briefs & Statements, Business Plan Objectives, Budgeting & Planning, coordination of supervisors span of control, etc.
- Will be required to attend and complete company provided Leadership Classes.
- Responsible to ensure all operations follow Safety and Health guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be proficient in computer applications Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required, College Degree Preferred.
- Must have 2-3 years of experience in a restaurant environment. Casino Experience Preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Possess or obtain a California Food Handler Card.
