Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Special Education Programs (Bronx & Queens)

Job Overview:
Join our dedicated team of professionals providing critical therapy services to preschool and school-aged children in special education programs. As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, and deliver therapy to support the developmental needs of students in both our Bronx and Queens locations, which are equipped with top-of-the-line treatment materials and facilities, including a sensory gym in the Bronx.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' sensory, motor, and cognitive skills.
• Provide therapy services in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and resources, including a fully equipped sensory gym and personalized workstations.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust treatment plans as needed.

1. Bronx:

   • Address: 1800 Andrews Avenue, Bronx, NY 10453
   • Special Education Preschool Program
   • Features: Large, fully equipped sensory gym for optimal therapy outcomes.

2. Queens:

   • Address: 144-61 Roosevelt Avenue, Flushing, NY 11354
   • Special Education Programs for Preschool and School-Age Children
   • Features: Fully equipped treatment resources and individual workstations.

Requirements:

• Valid New York State license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong commitment to working with children with special needs in a school-based setting.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position (12-month school-based role).
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (35 hours per week).

Salary:

• Competitive annual salary range of $70,469 to $74,805, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
