Our client, A prestigious school located in NYC has immediate need for an Speech Language Pathologist
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: M-F, 8:30am-03:00pm
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Responsibilities include:
Assure delivery of speech-language pathology services as per student's IEP and participate in service scheduling.
Provide assistance and consultation to Teachers of Speech and Language Disabilities and/or Clinical Fellow Therapists at regularly scheduled meetings and as needed.
Provide mandated speech related services as per student's IEP.
Maintain session notes which reflect activity during individual and group therapy sessions.
Assess students annually and provide periodic progress reports and annual reports which include descriptions of student's performance, areas of need and recommendations.
Complete IEP for students based on assessment which addresses individual needs in areas of communication and update IEP as needed.
Assist in acquisition of assistive technology for students in need of such technology.
Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and represent student needs in area of communication and feeding.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters in Speech Therapy
Must be a New York State Licensed Speech Therapist
Experience with students with autism is required
