- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for optimizing risk and compliance posture of the Enterprise Observability products. Create or help create necessary mechanisms (tools & reports) to help govern Enterprise Observability's compliance posture. Manage one or more of these functions for Enterprise Observability, therefore the Specialty Software Engineer is expected to be expert at one or more of these skills:
- Develop Tools and Reports to aggregate, analyze and improve Enterprise Observability's Risk and Compliance posture.
- Drive improvements in products and processes.
- Identify and document issues and drive remediations.
- Identify and develop mechanisms (tools & reports) to administer, improve and report on compliance and hygiene posture.
- Manage and report on group’s compliance posture and tech hygiene status.
- Develop playbooks and reports.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to create and prioritize risk and compliance backlog and assist engineering and operational stakeholders in resolving compliance matters.
- Represent product area at Internal & External Audits, while managing related deliverables and exceptions.
- Manage group’s adherence to firm-wide policies and compliance objectives.
- Manage group’s participation at firm-wide Business Continuity Planning (BCP) events.
- Manage group’s adherence to Asset, Change, Incident, and Problem Management Practices.
- Collaborate with Risk Management and Compliance for risk, audits & compliance matters.
- Collaborate with controls owner in optimize inefficient or ineffective controls.
- Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering.
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
