The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 takes in-bound phone calls from patients and providers. Enters prescription orders into the system. Also supports Pharmacists and Patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs developed to optimize health outcomes which includes effective communication with patients and providers. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
Position Hours: 11:30am - 8:00pm MST (12:30p - 9:00pm during Daylight Savings Time)

Requirements:
+ Possess an active and current Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
+ National Certification, PTCB CPhT or ExCPT
+ 2 years of experience typing prescriptions
+ Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and strong data entry skills
+ Phone experience with excellent communications skills
+ Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and strong data entry skills
+ Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Addition Information:
Home Office Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
+ At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
+ Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
+ Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
+ Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
+ Must limit distractions in work environment that would interrupt job responsibilities
+ Ability to install and configure network cabling to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for home office setups, including the integration of routers and other networking equipment.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$40,000 - $52,300 per year
