TIME ANALYST

Interested in joining the administrative side of operations at BC Ferries supporting our Tsawwassen based team? Join us as a Time Analyst where you can put your keen data and research skills to work auditing time collection data while ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee pay and financial coding of employee labour. You thrive in a role where you can work both individually and as a team member: identifying, assessing and correcting discrepancies in employee’s hours of work and pay.
You monitor, process and audit timesheets ensuring they are properly completed. You identify, assess and correct discrepancies in employee’s hours of work and pay. You research anomalies and respond to enquiries in a timely manner based on a thorough understanding and interpretation of the Collective Agreement. You determine, validate and authorize employee payout requests and ensure they meet with Company guidelines.
Complimenting these skills, you bring some experience with data entry or administrative tasks, and preferably a working knowledge of SharePoint, Maximo and Cognos/Oracle or similar financial performance and database management systems. More importantly however is a desire to contribute and be part of a great team, and grow a great BC Ferries career.
Finally, a high school diploma supplemented by post-secondary education or have completed some courses in Human Resources or Business Administration would be considered an asset. Proficiency in MS Office Suite Programs is required. 1-3 years’ experience in a complex unionized environment coupled with a background in scheduling or payroll and accounting systems is preferred.
