Work schedule is 6am to 4:20pm, Monday through Thursday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC vertical mill, CNC lathe, drill press, radial drill, vertical bandsaw to produce special parts, service parts, and experimental parts to print specifications.
- Utilize CAD and CAM Software to program CNC equipment.
- Inspect parts per print specifications.
- Select, set up, change tooling and fixtures as required.
- Deburr parts.
- Train and assist new operators.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S).
- Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown's safety rules and regulations for each task performed.
- To prevent the risk of injury, report all unsafe conditions and do not perform any unsafe acts.
- Use micrometers, verniers, calipers, gauges, tape measure, bore gauges, misc. hand tools, handheld air tools, hoist, band saw, wrenches, and hoists.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Related work experience preferred.
- Read, read blueprints, basic math (including fractions and decimals), complex math computations (basic trigonometry, finding angle measurements), convert between metric and English, remember, reason, and analyze. Ability to multi-task preferred.
- Per 8-10 hr. shift (stand up to 8 hrs., walk up to 2 hrs.), frequently (reach above shoulder level and torque), occasionally (bend, squat/kneel, reach below knee level, work with arms outstretched, climb to step into lift trucks, balance, push/pull). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 30 lbs., occasionally from 31 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to see, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in a noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration, dust, shavings, solvents, and oil. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
