Our space systems team is looking for a System Integration Lab (SIL) Architect to oversee the design, implementation, integration, and testing of our hardware-in-the-loop simulation tools. The ideal candidate possesses a background that combines expertise in hardware and software design, along with system integration experience, to develop simulator solutions tailored for space system development and operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Space System Integration Lab Architect responsible for:
+ Leading SIL development across programs to ensure program simulation hardware, and verification plans meet program statement of work, CDRLs, and requirements.
+ Define SIL architecture, requirements, test tools, and support equipment required for conduct of SIL test activities through all stages of design integration, test and operations.
+ Lead development of engineering drawings to capture test SIL designs and configurations.
+ Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate the build, assembly, and installation of SIL equipment and harnesses.
+ Support development of SIL test scenarios, and support test plan and procedure development to ensure requirements are fully verified.
+ Responsible for delivery and training of spacecraft simulation tools to customer or payload provider organizations.
+ Establish collaborative work relationships with peers to ensure synergy across space, ground, and launch.
+ Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches to define and inform SIL architecture. SE work products may include:
+ CONOPS
+ System Architecture
+ Requirements and Interface Control Documents
+ Mission and System Analysis
+ Trade Studies
+ Contributes to conduct of program design and readiness reviews.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
+ Demonstrated ability to translate program requirements into design solutions.
+ Prior space domain experience which may include space vehicles or satellite ground systems.
+ Familiarity with the following tools is desired: Cameo or Magic Draw, DOORS, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence).
+ Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required enabling an effective leadership interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
+ Able to support SIL test activities, which may occasionally be scheduled outside of standard business hours, including weekends.
+ Must have active TS clearance and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
