Position Overview:
As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in our kitchen operations, working closely with our Executive Chef to ensure the smooth running of the culinary department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation
- Overseeing and managing kitchen staff to maintain a productive and efficient operation
- Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies to meet demand while minimizing waste
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborating with the culinary team to continually innovate and elevate our menu offerings
- Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership position
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a high-volume kitchen
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage a team
- Creativity and a passion for culinary excellence to contribute to menu development
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
