About the Job
The Sous Chef will manage Food & Nutrition operations including patient dining, retail food, and catering. The Sous Chef will be a dynamic team player with a strong background in managing frontline staff and developing teams in a culinary environment. The Sous Chef will assist with overseeing all culinary operations for the department. The Sous Chef will be an experienced leader with a proven ability to foster culture and mentor frontline staff, have a passion for the culinary arts, and have an energetic and hands-on work ethic.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience in a kitchen setting
• 1 year experience in a supervisory, lead, or Sous Chef capacity
• ServSafe certified.
Preferred:
• Knowledgeable in the processes of Lean
• Associates degree or higher
• Healthcare food service experience
• Knowledgeable with modified diets
