What You Will Do
The Sourcing Agent will develop and execute global/regional sourcing strategies, supporting business units in areas like productivity, supply chain, and product development. They will manage a supply base, identifying and qualifying new suppliers, negotiating terms, overseeing supplier performance, and resolving issues. Working closely with regional sourcing teams, the Sourcing Agent will help achieve supply chain goals and support cross-functional decision-making. Additionally, they will implement best practices in purchasing and supplier development to drive category strategies and improve performance. Key responsibilities include:

What You Will Do
The Sourcing Agent will develop and execute global/regional sourcing strategies, supporting business units in areas like productivity, supply chain, and product development. They will manage a supply base, identifying and qualifying new suppliers, negotiating terms, overseeing supplier performance, and resolving issues. Working closely with regional sourcing teams, the Sourcing Agent will help achieve supply chain goals and support cross-functional decision-making. Additionally, they will implement best practices in purchasing and supplier development to drive category strategies and improve performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing Strategy: Implement sourcing strategies for designated commodities, including supplier identification, assessment, and relationship management, supplier rationalization, commodity risk assessments, cost savings, new product development support, market updates, and annual budgeting.
- Commercial Management: Support contract management, product qualification, RFP processes, negotiations, and productivity initiatives with suppliers. Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct supplier qualification per C1-0246 and related procedures, managing deliverables and verifying quality, cost, and timeliness of first production runs.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Drive supplier performance through scorecards and development plans, support supply chain initiatives (e.g., lead time and inventory reduction, service level improvements), and manage supplier and commodity spend, ROI, and MPV tracking.
- Project Management: Collaborate on cross-functional teams to drive early supplier involvement, meet performance goals, support project timelines, and deliver material cost savings.
- Oracle Management: Ensure accurate vendor and item data setup in Oracle.
- Process Support: Provide sourcing and purchasing process guidance to internal teams.
- Required Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Certificates: CPIM/CPM/CSCP/APICS certification preferred or commitment to achieve certification.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain preferably with previous global experience.
- Excellent negotiation and project leadership skills.
- Ability to make business decisions and support the reasons behind the decision.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multicultural business environment.
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple issues at once.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization and successfully partner with cross-functional groups in a matrix organization.
- Strong critical thinking skills and proven ability to work through complex issues and problems.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems - Oracle a plus.
