Position Summary: The Solution Architect's primary responsibility is to liaise with the business to define requirements and translate/implement them into the Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations environment as well as to support and maintain that environment. Tasks include (but are not limited to) the development and documentation of business process flows, forms, reports, customizations, and configurations. This role will also analyze and resolve end-user technical ERP software issues. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years functional hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics F&O.
- Microsoft SQL Server experience required. Demonstrated ability to develop queries, reports, etc.
- Expertise in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of MS Dynamics instances.
- Experience developing business solutions for D365 F&O with X++ in Visual Studio.
- Experience with LCS (Lifecycle Services) and administering D365 F&O cloud environments.
- Experience managing source control with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Power Platform development is a plus.
- Experience with Azure development is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.).
- Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Studio).
- Project management certification or business analysis certification is a plus (PMP).
- Experience working in a Warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with functional business users to translate business requirements into technical solutions within the ERP platform(s).
- Perform application development/configuration within the ERP software to facilitate business requirements. Determine the need for customizations/ISV's (independent software vendor solutions) where appropriate and perform implementation.
- Adhere to strict change control procedures for new implementations as well as maintenance activities as prescribed. Ensure timely adherence to ticketing system requirements.
- Work with ERP support partners/vendors as necessary.
- Administer ERP user accounts.
- Serve as "gatekeeper" for the development, execution, and maintenance of reports, forms, extensions, etc., for the ERP system.
- Develop and execute queries (standard and custom); update fields and tables against the SQL server database as necessary; craft and generate reports as requested/required.
- Oversee the scheduling of system processes and reports.
- Provide direction and leadership to client testing and quality assurance within the ERP platform(s).
- In alignment with business need, create, publish, and support dynamic business dashboards.
- Assist business with the review, implementation, and support of third-party software integrations to be used in conjunction with the ERP system, i.e., WMS (warehouse management software), CRM, Proof of delivery, and others as required by the business.
- Collaborate/participate in ERP (and ancillary system) upgrades/migrations.
- Actively participate in departmental status meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date ERP system documentation.
- Submit necessary change control and problem tickets in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure that tickets are well documented and updated as necessary.
- In conjunction with CBW leadership, serve as the ERP SME (subject matter expert) in the development of ERP strategy.
- Provide input to the construction of contractual agreements relative to the ERP environment(s).
- Develop budgetary projections for the ERP environment and provide to the Director of IT/CBW Leadership. Ongoing monitoring of ERP-related budgetary items with responsibility to ensure adherence to the prescribed budget.
- Provide project management leadership to ERP-related efforts as assigned.
- Document/maintain documentation of ERP system configuration/structure/integrations.
- Stay abreast of technical upgrades, strategic developments, new features/capabilities within the ERP environment.
- Maintain adherence to licensing requirements in the ERP environment. Ensure that IT leadership is apprised of any changes/concerns.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities.
