Job Description:
- We would like to bring on a Software Quality Engineer L3 for the STAT Land Mobile Radio Testing.
- We are looking for an experienced person who has P25 Protocol and land mobile radio experience.
- I would like for this candidate to have leadership skills to potentially grow them into a lead, this is nice to have and not mandatory.
- This position will be for the VIDA Infrastructure Base Station Testing.
- Looking for Software Quality Engineering background with RF, Analog and Digital communication, P25 LMR (Land Mobile Radio) and/or LTE experience. Supporting base station new design and development.
- Software Engineer with focus on quality for mission critical VIDA Infrastructure Communications and Portable/Mobile radios used to support first responders and military personnel on evolving LMR/LTE/WIFI/IOT and Hybrid Communication Architectures.
- Areas of responsibility will include:
- Contributing member of an agile scrum team with focus on system test and test automation.
- Perform requirements analysis, test analysis, test development, and system verification with scrum
- Create both manual and automated tests as required for new features and regression testing
- Perform manual and automation feature and regression testing on new software & hardware for terminals, base station, and network infrastructure equipment and systems as well as servers and AWS applications.
- Work with the automation system architect for common automation framework, projects and automation tools.
- Work with system architects, development and other cross-functional teams to ensure effective and timely software system integration and verification
- Assist development in designing and implementing effective software testability into new and existing products supporting continual process/quality improvement.
- Contribute to evolution of automation platforms and strategies with an eye towards 6-Sigma improvements in accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency
- Create and maintain test and engineering related work products for various projects.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer engineering with 4+ years of experience in radio operations, system test or equivalent In lieu of degree, minimum of 8 years of prior experience.
- Senior professional with strong knowledge of P25 and LTE communication protocols and systems
- Experience with project management including managing multiple projects executing concurrently and balancing priorities
- Communicates effectively, both written and orally
- Must be able to complete assignments independently and in a team environment
- Individual must be a team player in helping to complete overall team goals
- Individual must be receptive to change and able to give and receive feedback
- Work with system architects and development and other cross-functional teams to ensure effective and timely software system integration and verification
- Collaborate with project and technical resources to ensure that the strategy, planning and delivery approach achieves the desired results
- Solid Automated Test Development Experience with programming languages or programs such as C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, Test Complete, Test Stand desired
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of P25 and LTE communication protocols and systems
- Experience with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Personal Area Network protocols
- Scaled Agile Framework (Safe 6.0)
- HP Quality Center (HPQC), ClearQuest, DOORS
- Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word.
- Experience with wireless air interface protocols
- Experience with RF and Networking test techniques
- Evaluation and Selection of Automation Hardware, Test Equipment, National Instruments Hardware
- Smart Bear Test Complete
