Please apply online using a laptop or desktop computer.POSITION SUMMARY:The Salesforce Developer will provide innovative solutions for business needs while balancing effort and feasibility with cost and maintainability. A successful candidate will have a solid record of delivering technical solutions under timeline and budget constraints and a proven track record of working efficiently with business and technical teams. This role involves not only application development, but also business and technical analysis, innovation, collaboration and supporting other technical and business resources. This is a remote position (US). #LI-RemoteCheck out our video Saving Lives: It's the Best Job EverACCOUNTABILITIES:Participates in all phases of the SDLC process:Develops high-quality and scalable application logic with Apex and SOQL.Develops highly interactive UI using Visualforce, JavaScript and JQuery technologies.Builds custom applications using Salesforce.com and integrating Salesforce.com with other systems.Applies best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the Salesforce.com platform.Partners with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing and Service to implement and rollout cloud applications across NMDP.Creates and executes unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data.Operates and leverages Agile and Scrum methodologies.Gathers, analyzes and documents functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues reported by end users.Deploys packages to production on a routine cadence.Performs application support for Salesforce products when necessary.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of:Lightning Framework, Apex, JavaScript, Aura, and Component-based frameworks.Web development best practices, especially application security.The tradeoffs of development on a multi-tenant platform with known limits.Extensive experience with Sales, Service and Marketing CloudsAbility to:Collaborate efficiently with business and technical teams.Demonstrate understanding and ability to articulate complex requirements.Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field preferred. However, upon evaluation, equivalent related experience and/or education may be substituted for degree requirement.2 years of Salesforce application development, including code-based and declarative techniques.Extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle best practices.A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)Salesforce Developer Advanced Certification(s).Custom development experience on other platforms (i.e., C#, Java, Python).Experience in a Scrum/Agile development environment.Understanding and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools.Willingness to learn and use new technologies.Experience in a non-profit environment.DEI COMMITMENT:As part of our values, we are committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion at NMDP.
