AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
The AWS Builder Relation Services team is on a mission to help AWS build better relationships with AWS customers and between AWS customers and their peers. Our team works with partners across AWS to build connected experiences that feel more personal, smarter, consistent, and social. We manage high scale and impact marketing experiences like www.community.aws built with React/NextJS and Node.js using TypeScript. We are looking for a talented and passionate Full-Stack Software Engineer to join us on this journey.
As a Software Engineer on the AWS Builder Relation Services team, you will work with internal partners and stakeholders to understand, design, and implement new features to meet our dynamic business requirements. Some of these applications will serve AWS customers at scale and require the highest bar in usability, performance, security, reliability, and scalability. You will also work closely with a team of talented Software Engineers and Product Managers improve existing tools and build new ones.
You have a growth mindset, insatiable curiosity, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results without supervision. You bring a blend of strong technical skills and big-picture-thinking to design and build applications that users love. You can wear multiple hats to identify and build solutions that streamline and transform the capabilities of the AWS Marketing organization through automation.

Key job responsibilities
- Building customer-facing applications, tools, and workflows that streamline and scale the Builder Relations team.
- Partnering with people of different roles, backgrounds, and organizations to build automation and tools.
- Participating in all stages of the software development life-cycle, spanning design, development, testing, and operation.
- Iterating on product features based on user feedback. Acting as your own PM when necessary.
- Building and operating entire applications end-to-end, across UI, API, Database, and Infrastructure.
- Participating in design and security reviews for team members to help improve the quality of all our services.
A day in the life
Your typical day will involve lots of coding, system design, problem solving, design reviews, and various operational tasks.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Expert in JavaScript and TypeScript on frontend and backend

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
