Work for an established family-owned business repairing and maintaining shopping carts. OMNI Cart Services, Inc. was founded over 40 years ago in Northeast Ohio. Since then, we've been expanding our operations, including employing associates in 11 different states across the U.S. Our Service Technicians clean, inspect, and repair shopping carts and other backroom equipment for supermarkets and retail stores. We are known for our quality work and excellent customer service and are looking for individuals who will be a part of our team and maintain our standards.
Details: OMNI Cart Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable, hard-working individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician to service the Chicago/South Holland, Illinois area. You will be trained in our business of cleaning, inspecting, and repairing shopping carts and other backroom equipment at grocery stores and retail stores. The job is done outdoors and requires the minimum physical requirements listed below. Repairs include, straightening frames, inspecting and replacing wheels and other parts, and MIG welding. Cleaning is done with a pressure washing system.
Expected Schedule: Our workday usually begins at 5:00 am. You and a Foreman will travel to the locations we service in a company truck equipped with an inventory of parts and tools needed to perform the job. Together you will work until the day's jobs are done. The average workweek is 50 hours, including travel time for which you are paid. We do not work weekends.
Travel Requirements: Approximately one week per month of overnight travel is required for this position, in our company vehicle.
All travel expenses are paid and a stipend for meals is provided for each hotel night. Home on the weekends!
Wage Information: Average starting salary ranges between $45,000 - $51,000 per year, based on an hourly rate between $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. Frequent (and required) overtime is to be expected and is considered in the estimated salary breakdown provided.

Requirements:
• Ability to perform the minimum physical requirements of the job: moving and turning carts weighing from 25 to 40 lbs, lifting tools and parts as needed, and standing, bending, and stooping to perform work.
• A desire to work outdoors at differing locations each day.
• A good driving record is needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others.
• Basic mechanical skills.
