Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team at an industrial mixers plant. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant setting, preferably with a background in QA, welding, and CNC machining. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth, as the selected candidate will train directly under the Plant Manager for 1-2 years as an understudy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage and lead a team of operators, machinists, and production workers, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and plant-specific safety policies.
- Ensure that all production goals, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
- Implement and maintain efficient manufacturing processes, continuously improving workflows and production methods.
- Monitor and oversee quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager and other department leaders to resolve production issues, improve operational efficiency, and optimize resources.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, personnel performance, and quality assurance data.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a strong focus on plant operations and workforce management.
- Experience with CNC machining, welding, and/or mechanical production processes is preferred.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and practices, with a proven track record of maintaining high standards of product quality.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial plant setting.
