Be a part of our Factory Operations team to assist with shipping of our high-quality leather goods as well as inspect, test and cut our leather to ensure we deliver the highest quality products that stand the test of time.
The Shipping Operations Specialist ensures that products are securely packaged, labeled, and ready for shipment. You will inspect products as you are packaging, document, and maintain accuracy to ensure the products are being shipped per customer specifications. This is an in-person role requiring flexibility to report to our Corporate Headquarters in Fairhaven MA as well as our Warehouse in Fall River, MA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Packs and unpacks orders while maintaining a department schedule of up to 50 pounds
- Effectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock.
- Accurately updates spreadsheets and stock information, order, and receive inventory
- Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information. Sends booking requests to shipping lines, and processes UPS, Fed Ex, and DHL shipments
- Problem-solving for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders
- Assists the Quality Assurance team with receiving inspecting testing and cutting of fine leathers
- Assist the Production team with hardware inventory and other tasks as assigned
- Performs administrative duties like answering phones, updating records, and providing excellent customer service
- Liaises with warehouse overseers and managers about product ordering and storage
- Maintains good customer relationships and answers any customer questions
- Keeps organized shipping records, including statements of origin, shipping costs, products shipped, and receipt dates
- Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that pop up regularly; works to solve these administrative or organizational problems to increase warehouse and dispatch efficiency
- Develop knowledge about freight, export papers, and sea shipping regulations and practices
- Work with the shipping team to complete orders on time
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or HSED/GED equivalent preferred
- Must possess good computer skills and be able to learn new skills as needed
- Previous experience is not required but is a plus
- Ability to read and write English
