Shipping Clerk
Prior experience in a shipping 2yrs min
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders.
Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments by checking items, quantities, and
documentation.
Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
Inventory Management:
Assist with inventory control by updating inventory systems when orders are shipped.
Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments, including tracking numbers and
carrier details.
Prepare and file all shipping-related documents in compliance with company policies and
regulations.
Compliance:
Ensure that all shipments comply with domestic and international shipping regulations,
including customs documentation.
Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) during all shipping
activities.
Equipment Operation:
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and MS Office.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 40pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying
temperatures, noise levels, and equipment.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver’s license
Forklift certification is a plus but not necessary.
