About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Shift Supervisor to lead operations at a power generation facility. You’ll oversee plant personnel and ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving performance and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of operators, ensuring smooth and efficient plant operations during assigned shifts.
- Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and environmental compliance.
- Train team members on safety procedures, equipment operation, and plant processes.
- Manage safety programs, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry.
- Conduct performance evaluations, manage timesheets, and track attendance.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create and manage work requests.
- Maintain detailed logs of operations and prepare reports and procedural manuals.
- Represent the Plant Manager in their absence.
- Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents to enhance workplace safety.
- Operate industrial equipment, such as forklifts, man lifts, and skid steer loaders.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years in power plant operations.
- 1+ year of supervisory experience in power generation or steam plant settings.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations and controls.
- Hands-on experience with safety programs like lockout/tagout and confined space entry.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
- Familiarity with CMMS and industrial equipment operation.
- Ability to obtain or current holder of the ASME QRO Provisional License.
- Education:
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
