About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Shift Supervisor to lead operations at a power generation facility. You’ll oversee plant personnel and ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving performance and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of operators, ensuring smooth and efficient plant operations during assigned shifts.
• Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and environmental compliance.
• Train team members on safety procedures, equipment operation, and plant processes.
• Manage safety programs, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry.
• Conduct performance evaluations, manage timesheets, and track attendance.
• Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create and manage work requests.
• Maintain detailed logs of operations and prepare reports and procedural manuals.
• Represent the Plant Manager in their absence.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents to enhance workplace safety.
• Operate industrial equipment, such as forklifts, man lifts, and skid steer loaders.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 5+ years in power plant operations.
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in power generation or steam plant settings.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations and controls.
  • Hands-on experience with safety programs like lockout/tagout and confined space entry.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and industrial equipment operation.
  • Ability to obtain or current holder of the ASME QRO Provisional License.
• Education:
  • Required: High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
