Job Description:
We are a cutting edge program supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) collaborative information environment for intelligence sharing with allies and international partners. We are a global team with multiple locations in the U.S. and abroad supporting U.S. Combatant Commands mission critical or episodic operations. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for working with cutting edge technologies, learning new things, and solving real world issues that impact U.S. National Security.
You will be joining a new, agile digital transformation initiative to improve the program’s global effectiveness, increase operational visibility into its IT assets, and drive cost savings by implementing the full range of ServiceNow capabilities, to include IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Business Management (ITBM), Security Operation (SECOPs), Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
Responsibilities:
Contributes to the strategic development of new platform development, as needed, based on customer needs
Performs management and configuration of ServiceNow applications and modules, product development, service automation, and system integration.
Lead or mentor junior developers on an agile, ServiceNow implementation team
Actively collaborates with other teammates to perform code reviews, discuss new developments and projects, and shadow other junior admins/developers as needed.
Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies and/or discussions with team members and stakeholders.
Aids with reporting configuration and maintenance and performs operational administrative tasks, as needed.
Assesses architecture and current system limitations, defines, and designs system specifications, and evaluates input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Plans and manages meetings, as needed to solicit feedback from stakeholders regarding various models of the tool whenever change is warranted or requested.
Act as a liaison between parties when necessary to get support from ServiceNow (leveraging HiWAVE) when local issues arise or when technical difficulties are identified.
Build customized ServiceNow applications, apply technical expertise, leverage a variety of software engineering techniques, and build and refine business logic to enhance team capabilities, improve security, and maximize ServiceNow ROI. Demonstrate thought leadership resulting in new technical capabilities and approaches
Provide and/or develop subject matter expertise on ServiceNow development and modules as required.
Participate in internal and customer meetings understand requirements, identify unique use cases, and implement information technology solutions / initiatives.
Perform full-spectrum of software development lifecycle (SDLC), to include systems modeling, simulation, analysis, testing and debugging assigned components and units.
Maintain all agreed upon professional and technical certifications you have and are given the opportunity to achieve.

Required Qualifications:
- 20+ years of technical experience required.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a relevant field – may substitute additional years of experience
- Working experience with MariaDB and/or MySQL
- Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and development methods Experience with Web development, including X–HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, or Angular and at least one of the following back–end technologies: JavaScript, PHP, .NET, Java, or ColdFusion
- Experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery implementation
- Experience with ServiceNow SERVICE PORTAL design and end-user/customer experience such as development of professional, compelling design and graphical interface for Service Portal ITILv4 Foundations certification
- Experience with Agile development methodology, requirements management, JIRA (or similar RTM platforms)
